Weddings & Receptions Garden Weddings "It All Began in a Garden..." hen Eve tempted Adam with that first bite, it was all over. Nothing comes to us as naturally as gathering in our gardens. There is proof of this throughout history, from the Garden of Eden to the ancient Greek stone garden grottoes, to Roman villa gardens, to Japanese tea gardens. Weddings and receptions can be held in our gardens at the Christmas House for up to 150 guests. Our English gardens feature our Carriage House, a gazebo and lawn area, a courtyard for dancing after dining, and many Victorian touches, such as a tree swing, English statuary and lawn croquet. Framing the gardens are a dozen various fruit trees, reminding us of past days when the Christmas House was the center of an 80-acre citrus ranch. A variety of menus are available in packages ranging from $9600 for 50 guests to $11,100 for 100 guests. The packages include the ceremony and reception; ceremony seating and reception tables, chairs and white damask floor-length linens; hors d'oeuvres, the buffet meal and the wedding cake; china, silverware, glassware and white damask linen napkins; a professional disc jockey service, and many other flourishes. Attractive packages are available that include our guest rooms at the inn. For those who prefer a more informal reception, we are pleased to offer our Cocktail Party Reception. This package offers a combination of the gardens and indoors in a relaxed, warm, homelike atmosphere. Prices for this package range from $7600 for 50 guests to $8600 for 100 guests. Included are the ceremony and reception, the buffet meal and the wedding cake, a professional disc jockey service, as well as many other flourishes. Personal service is our forte and our pleasure.
